They typically use a very generic post card that has some lame ass slogan such as "we try harder to get you the best rates and lowest fees possible" call me at 555-858-5555. I am sorry that just does not work. Plus a post card is really not enough to sell anyone anything.

However post cards are a great way to generate leads when offering a free report, CD, DVD, book etc. There is definitely enough room to sell them on the fact they need to request what ever it is your offering them.

Mortgage Classified Ads - These cheap little mortgage advertisements are great little mortgage lead generators. The best advice I can give you when using classified ads is to target them. In other words don't run a generic ad that says "Refinance Now While Rates Are Still Low - Call John Doe 555-859-5555" Get very specific and they work like a charm.

Mortgage Web Sites - About 99% of loan officers have the wrong type of mortgage web site. The best mortgage lead generator web site is one that has been built specifically to generate mortgage leads.
