Your Mortgage Marketing Post Card Only Has Two Purposes
Yep there should only be two things that your mortgage marketing post card should be accomplishing.
First: It is virtually impossible to sell anything to anyone on a post card. Sure you can send out those crappy ass post cards that are more about image building than anything else. And you really should send them out especially if you like to waste money. I seriously want you to look at those designs and the message that your mortgage marketing post card has. Would it make you call? Really?
The way you really should be using that marketing postcard is to drive people to call a recorded 800 number and request more info, a free report, a free CD, a free DVD. More info that you can really put a sale message into. Or drive them to your website, where again you can sell them something. Sell them on how you can solve their problems.
Your mortgage marketing post card is not going to work if it has a picture of your self. A generic message about how prices in their neighborhood have increased. And now they can get their equity. And some lame slogan about how you have the greatest rates and fees. All glossy and everything. I bet you have never noticed this about yourself, but I bet you go through your mail over the garbage. So can you guess where that post card goes? Yep right into the trash.
Second: Mortgage marketing post cards a great way to stay in contact with your current and past clients. You can send them little snippets of information. Recipes. Credit repair tips. Updates on the months mortgage market. New products that have come out. Pictures of you and your family in some vacation. You really should be using mortgage marketing postcards like this right now. If not get started, Because if you are not staying in contact with them someone else will.
I really love the idea of using post cards in my mortgage marketing. I have used them as lead generators. I have even sent personal post cards to my A-List clients when I am on vacation. They really are a powerful tool that you need to use in all of your mortgage marketing.
